Some of you from Michigan/Upper midwest may recognize this one. It always got airtime on the local radio in Maine when I was growing up, and has been my favorite Christmas song (a short list, by the way) for 30+ years now.

Stephen King’s rock station, I’m pretty sure it was WKIT. Bangor based station, on the right side of Broadway as you were heading out of town. Used to be a rock station (might’ve changed to sports talk radio?), I remember them doing some upgrades/equipment changes, so they played this great loop of screams/demonic voices for 48 hours while the station wasn’t broadcasting.

Heard Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer this morning. Was delighted.

Spent a lot of time in the taverns in North Central WI growing up, when out snowmobiling it was guaranteed to hear at least one Da Yoopers song per stop.
